Charles M. Nettles Endowed Presidential Scholarship

Charles and Betsy Nettles both attended The University of Texas. Charles earned a BS in engineering and Betsy a BS in elementary education. Their two children, Katie Lyons and Charlie Nettles, attended UT, as did their son- and daughter-in-law. Charles and Betsy served on the Texas Parents Board for four years and twice served as co-chairs.

The family chose to endow the Charles M. Nettles Endowed Presidential Scholarship in the School of Architecture because of what the school meant to their son, Charlie. The school offered an intimate learning environment while being a part of a large public university.

The Nettles are happy to give back to the University. Through this endowment they help UT students pursue the same high-quality education that sustains their family.
