John T. Stuart III Centennial Professorship in Mathematics

The John T. Stuart III Centennial Professorship in Mathematics was established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System on December 9, 1983, for the benefit of the College of Natural Sciences’ Department of Mathematics.

The endowment honors Mr. John T. Stuart III of Dallas, Texas, a 1958 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. John also attended Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 1969 and Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program in 1978.

He is a distinguished alumnus and avid supporter of the University, a member of the University’s Development Board, and serves on several advisory councils at UT Austin. He is also heavily involved with civic activities and community engagement in the Greater Dallas metro area.

The John T. Stuart III Centennial Professorship in Mathematics supports nationally recognized faculty members and continues to leave a mark on Texas Science.
