The W. Blair Scott, Jr. Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Petroleum and Geosystems was established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System on December 27, 2011, to benefit The University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering. Gift funds were provided by W. Blair Scott, Jr.

Blair Scott, Jr. graduated from the Cockrell School of Engineering in 1958, specializing in petroleum engineering.

This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students in the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering in accordance with the University's Endowed Presidential Scholarship Program.
