Katie U. Murray Endowed Presidential Scholarships

The Katie U. Murray Endowed Presidential Scholarship I was established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System on February 4, 2013, to benefit The University of Texas Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. The endowment honors Katie U. Murray. Gift funds were provided by Mr. Archie Lee Murray.

Archie Murray created two scholarships as memorials to his beloved wife Katie.

The Katie U. Murray Endowed Presidential Scholarship Fund I and the Katie U. Murray Endowed Presidential Scholarship Fund II benefit the Office of Student Financial Services.

Archie lived to the ripe age of 104. He served in the US Army during World War II reaching the rank of captain.
